We hope you enjoy the beautiful views of Oakland in the selection of slide shows we have prepared for your viewing enjoyment. These images were taken by local and regional photographers that participated in the “Picture Oakland” photo contest that the OCVB sponsors each year. By sponsoring this contest, the OCVB secures certain use rights of these images to help promote Oakland. A special agreement with the photographers also extends this right to qualified members of the press/media to use to compliment their article about Oakland or to a member of the travel trade to promote their group/event that has booked in Oakland. These photographers love Oakland, and enjoy sharing with the rest of the world the beauty that they see everyday through their work. Oakland is a city of beautiful views, parks, waterways, architecture, museums, attractions and landmarks.
If you would like to use any of these images for your own personal or business promotional purposes, please contact the OCVB directly for use rights and costs. The re-use policy was established to compensate these amazing photographers/artists for their work and also allow others to use these images to help promote their businesses and the beauty of Oakland. We ask that you respect this policy and that of the artists, before considering re-using any of these images other than outlined here. Un-authorized use is subject to copyright laws.
